Ancient Souls are at the center of Crypto Valleys: Phase 2; they boast unique stats and abilities, particularly in the form of Ancient Skills, and are indispensable for summoning future generations of Adventurers. Ancient Souls will have a fixed supply of 3,000 and will be mintable using both YIELD and Locked YIELD. We're distributing over 2,500 WLs throughout the Crypto Valleys ecosystem, as previously announced. Because Ancient Souls are so rare and important, for whitelisted players, each Ancient Soul will cost a flat 500 YIELD rate with no additional requirements; but for the general public, the cost will be 800 YIELD, with a prerequisite of a LV 5+ Valley. The cost and mechanics for Locked YIELD are still TBD as we explore various scenarios (current models suggest either a globally scaling rate starting at 25,000 or a flat rate of 50,000 Locked YIELD). Furthermore, the YIELD and Locked YIELD spent on minting Ancient Souls will be immediately burnt, permanently removing them from circulation.
