Those who are marked as ‘different’ are treated as such: marginalised by the rest of society for things that are out of their control. These ‘different’ people did not have much in common, save for the fact that they have spent most of their lives being rejected and ignored all others in this forsaken world. It was as if they were not considered to be ‘people’ by the others living on Earth. They were the Unpersons.
